APPENDIX: A Tutorial On Logarithms
This discusses some basic logarithm properties like the properties we discussed in Math Corner Early in the Quarter. What I found most helpful was the last bit about estimation. If log bases don't really matter, as Professor Hartline suggested, then estimating with base 2 is as good as any estimation.
Now I can do log estimations in my head!
