An article in Forbes magazine describes some useful scenarios of the prisoner's dilemma. They describe how Capital One was very successful in its beginning years. Capital One was the first company to introduce a transfer of balance option. This option enables a person to transfer an existing balance onto the new credit card. The author goes on to explain how that option appeals to many credit cards users. The article also runs through a political example in the former Soviet Union.

The article reviews the book The Art of Strategy and I , curiously, went on their website to find more info. You can actually download an excerpt form the book (http://www.artofstrategy.info/excerpt.html) with a few more examples of game theory that are very nicely explained (but you have to purchase the book for that). For example, during one season of Survivor, a player would have done better by losing a challenge and increased his chance of overall winning the competition (i don't watch survivor so this might be common knowledge but i found it interesting).
The website also has some interactive games you can waste your time with if you please.
