Game Theory and Marriage

Interesting article on how taking a marriage vow is not all that emotional after all. Whether to take marriage vows can also be analyzed using game theory. The game in this case, is whether two people should stay together or not.

Game theory, stable marriage problem and… secretary problem. WHAT?
http://bycommonconsent.com/2008/04/16/marriage-and-game-theory/
This article gives an alternative view on the stable marriage problem as it argues that when men are rejected, it reduces their “confidence” and “attractiveness” such that it makes it even more difficult for them to be accepted as a partner. (Game theory… To ask or not to ask?). Furthermore, this article also mentioned the people who are confident of their prospect would prolong the search for their perfect partner. (see a possibility of applying the secretary problem here?)
