The Matthew Effect
The Matthew Effect, examined in this paper, is a term used to describe the phenomenon that how eminent scientists get more credit than their less-known colleagues, even if their work is similar. This phenomenon bears a resemblance to the similar "rich-get-richer" effect discussed in lecture, concerning power laws.
