interns for sale

This article caught my eye because I definitely think it's a unique use of Ebay. Interns--or atleast their ideas-- for the company Crispin-Porter and Bogusky (an advertising company that services clients like Burger King, Sprite and Dominos) are being auctioned off. The bidding started really low too, at one dollar and I just checked on Ebay and the price is up to $5,899, with 29 bids. This whole concept is a bit strange to me because the money being paid for the interns goes to to the actual interns themselves. What is the company getting out of this? If their interns are that good too, maybe they'll be hired away from the company. I guess, though there's not much substance to this article, I was wondering what people think of this idea?
