Armani and Nash Equilibrium?

I thought this article was sort of comical as it tried to state that Armani's new fashion line was in "Nash Equilibrium" as Armani used designs that were masculine for females and designs that were slightly feminine for males. In Nash Equilibrium, a pair of strategies is in this state if Player A's response is a Best Response and Player B's response is also his best response. This article tried to explain "nash equilibrium" in fashion terms and I think it was a very poor choice and confusing as I don't see how women wearing slightly more masculine clothing and men wearing feminine clothing is a best response to each other. I guess if the payoff for women to look more masculine is high and the payoff for men to look more feminine is high but the payoff for both men and women to look either feminine or masculine is low, you could say that this solution is a "nash equilibrium."
